Ubla is a mountain picnic ground at about 1,100 metres, some twenty kilometres from Trebinje on the Orjen massif. Dubrovnik, Herceg Novi and Kotor lie on one side, the quiet of the pine forest on the other. Together with Studenac, it is the locals' favourite weekend spot.

In summer the shade of the evergreen forest makes for a pleasant break, and in winter Ubla is good for fun in the snow. There are picnic tables and stone barbecues, and a mountain hut is nearby.

The traditional event "From the Uprising Freedom Was Born", dedicated to folk customs and folklore, is held here, and cultural and sports activities take place every weekend during the summer season.

Getting there

About twenty kilometres from Trebinje, on the Orjen massif at 1,100 m.
